Description
Miller Soils’ Biochar and Biology mix is a field-soil conditioner and microbial inoculant designed to enhance soil productivity for high-value plants – long-term and short-term. The Biochar and Biology mix inoculates the soil with a diversity of organisms while providing a nutrient-rich environment for their growth and sustenance. These soil organisms make up a soil food web that meets the needs of the plant through a complex of nutritional pathways, while creating a optimal physical structure and texture for root growth.
Our biochar and biology mix combines biochar with two kinds of compost – thermophilic (heat-inducing) compost and worm casting, both rich in soil microbes, secondary metabolites, soil nitrogen and other minerals. We had kelp meal to send it over the top. It’s a soil-critter super-charger.
Reccomendations:
- For hungry soils without much soil organic matter and soil carbon, add at a soil:conditioner ratio of 3:1 – three parts of soil to one part of Biochar and Biology Mix.
- For richer soils, increase the soil:conditioner ratio to 4:1 or 5:1.
