Red’s Premium Biochar Blend
Red’s is a bio-based container media designed to embody the best traits of a living soil with the benefits of a balanced soil food web. We build this soil-mix to suit professional operations, which require efficiency and ease-of-use combined with quality – which means a quality crop for the grower. Red’s mix is alive. It’s packed with vegetation-based compost and worm castings, creating rich environment of beneficial bacteria. Combined with biochar and natural mineral sources, this rich ecosystem is nested in a matrix of components that optimizes aeration, porosity and drainage, so the soil gets the water it needs while maintaining aeration. The result is good for the soil microbes and GREAT for the plants. No animal or human manures in our products! Biochar provides several benefits to the soil food web, while increasing water-holding capacity, decreasing bulk density, buffering pH, moderating nutrient release and more – for decades. High-quality compost adds a microbial environment rich with humic acids, which are the chemical compounds making up humus and related compounds humates – the defining material of compost.
Recommendations
• Place starts in containers full of Red’s, and water until the soil-mix is a field capacity. This mix NOT intended for seed-germination. We recommend our SEED START PRO!
• After a few weeks you may need to replenish some of the nutrient stocks in the soil food web for heavy feeders. The key is to feed the soil-mix, not just the plants. Direct feeding with solutions and chemical fertilizers harms the soil organisms. We urge the grower to feed the soil with nutrient-rich compost teas, which the soil microbes especially bacteria and other critters will process. This recommendation will save on unnecessary chemical costs.
• Avoid over-watering. Overwatering creates anoxic and anaerobic conditions, which can build up in containers, especially in the perched water-table near the bottom of the container. Since Red’s mix is teeming with life, overwatering can kill or thwart the optimal nutrient-cycling microbes and encourage pathogenic microbes. Save on watering costs with this recommendation.

Coco Coir
Description
Our coconut coir products are the best quality and used buy our customers around the globe. We put special attention to the quality of our products. Our stringent process ensures optimal physical and chemical properties of final products. Coconut coir growing medium comes from the coconut’s fibrous husk (known as coir) that is bound together by lignin (known as pith). After the husk is immersed in water for 6 weeks, the fiber is extracted mechanically, and the pith is left behind as a waste product and stored in heaps to age. Since the pith comes from the fruit, it is quite naturally rich in nutrients. Coconut coir growing mediums are dehydrated and compressed into a compact form for easy handling. With the addition of water, coir expands to an easy to work with growing medium. The addition of water increases the volume 3 to 9 times, depending on the packaging of products. This process results in a 100% organic, biodegradable growing medium, making it a natural and safe growth medium of choice for growers. Coco peat is a premium growing medium and superior alternative to peat moss. Coir is the coarse fibers and sponge like pith material that make up the thick husk of the coconut fruit.
